TOURNAMENT RULES

GamersRival – Brawlhalla Tournament & Mutual Competition Rules and Guidelines

These rules govern all Brawlhalla competitions hosted on GamersRival.com, including tournaments and mutual competitions. By registering for or participating in any competition, players agree to comply fully with the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility

• Players must be at least 18 years old to participate in reward-based competitions offered on GamersRival.com.

• All participants must have:

o A valid Gamersrival.com account

o A valid Brawlhalla game account in good standing

o Legitimate access to and ownership or authorized use of Brawlhalla on the platform used for the competition

• All players must comply with the applicable game terms of service.

• Gamersrival.com reserves the right to require identity verification for eligible competitions.

2. Registration & Participation

• Players must register through Gamersrival.com and complete all required participation steps before joining a competition.

• Participation in competitions may require the use of GamersRival website credits, as stated in the competition listing.

• GamersRival website credits are used solely within the GamersRival platform for participation in eligible competitions and platform features, subject to applicable terms and policies.

• GamersRival website credits or other participation requirements used for a competition are non-refundable, except where an event is canceled by Gamersrival.com or otherwise stated.

• All registered players may compete. Some players may receive a BYE in the first round depending on bracket size.

• For team-based competitions, teams must be registered in advance with the required number of players stated in the competition listing.

Insufficient Player Participation

• If the required number of players does not join a tournament, Gamersrival.com reserves the right to pair available players or adjust the competition format in order to continue the competition.

• In such cases:

o The final prize made available for the competition will differ from the originally displayed amount.

o Gamersrival.com may adjust pairings, competition structure, and prize allocations where necessary to complete the event.

3. Match Start & Timing

• Each match or round must be started and completed within the match time window stated in the competition listing unless otherwise specified.

• Players must be ready to begin within 5 minutes of the scheduled or system-assigned start time.

• Failure to begin within the grace period may result in an automatic forfeit.

• Players may withdraw before a tournament or competition officially begins.

• Withdrawal more than 31 minutes before the scheduled start time qualifies for a full refund.

• Withdrawal 30 minutes or less before the scheduled start time will attract a 10% fee, subject to a maximum cap determined by GamersRival.com.

4. How to Play

• Add your opponent on the applicable platform if required.

• Launch Brawlhalla.

• Enter the required game mode stated in the competition listing.

• Invite or join your opponent and confirm both players or teams are ready.

• Confirm Legends, stances, maps, stock settings, and competition conditions before gameplay begins.

• Maps may be selected through tournament striking, veto, ban, pick, randomization, or another approved selection process stated in the competition listing.

• Where tournament striking is used, players may remove maps from the available pool according to the competition format before the final map is selected.

• Start the match once all participants confirm readiness.

5. Game Setup & Match Format

• Match Type: 1v1, 2v2, elimination bracket, stock match, best-of series, or other approved format stated in the competition listing.

• Mode: Standard competitive mode or other approved mode stated in the competition listing.

• Platforms: The platform used for the competition will be the platform stated in the competition listing.

• Rules: Standard Brawlhalla competitive settings apply unless otherwise stated in the competition listing.

• Match Settings: Stock count, timer settings, map pool, gadget settings, team damage settings, and gameplay conditions will be stated in the competition listing.

• Unless otherwise stated in the competition listing, official competitive lobby settings may include:

o Game Mode: Stock

o Lives: 3

o Match Time: 8 minutes

o Gadgets: Off

o Test Features: Off

o Tournament Map Striking enabled

• Matches may be played as best-of-3, best-of-5, or another set format stated in the competition listing.

• Where team-based formats are used, team damage settings and team configurations will follow the competition listing.

• Newly released Legends, maps, mechanics, or game content may be temporarily restricted from tournament play until approved by GamersRival.com.

• Custom Settings / Modifications: Unauthorized modifications, scripts, macros, exploits, turbo controllers, gameplay manipulation, or unauthorized third-party tools are prohibited unless expressly approved in the competition listing.

6. Game-Specific Rules & Restrictions

6.1 Match Objective

• The objective is to eliminate the opposing player or team and win the match under the rules and conditions stated in the competition listing.

• Where a competition includes multiple rounds, stages, or sets, progression will be determined by the official in-game results and scoring method stated in the competition listing.

• A “game” refers to a single in-game contest.

• A “set” refers to a best-of series between players or teams.

• A “match” refers to the official competitive result recorded for tournament progression.

6.2 Starting Conditions

• All players or teams must begin play using the approved settings and competition conditions stated for the event.

• Where applicable, players may be required to lock in their selected Legend and stance before map selection or match start according to the competition format.

• Players may only change Legends, stances, or loadouts where permitted by the competition listing or match format.

• Any discrepancy in setup must be reported immediately before meaningful gameplay begins.

6.3 Gameplay Conduct

The following are prohibited:

• Cheats, hacks, scripts, macros, turbo controllers, cronus devices, zen devices, or unauthorized software

• Exploiting bugs, glitches, map exploits, or unintended game mechanics

• Manipulating match settings outside the permitted competition setup

• Intentionally delaying gameplay or refusing to continue

• Disconnecting to avoid a loss or alter the match outcome

• Spectators, coaches, teammates, or third parties providing unfair competitive assistance during active matches unless expressly permitted in the competition listing

• Any conduct intended to unfairly influence the result of the match

6.4 Pause Rules

• Players may pause the game only for a genuine technical issue where the mode supports it.

• In the event of a controller disconnect, hardware issue, or major technical interruption, Gamersrival.com administrators may pause, restart, replay, or rule on the match based on the available evidence and circumstances.

• Excessive or unjustified pausing may result in penalties, match loss, forfeiture, or administrative review.

7. Lag, Settings & Technical Complaints

• Players are responsible for checking connection quality, controller functionality, settings, and competition setup before meaningful gameplay begins.

• Complaints regarding lag, map selection, Legend selection, settings, or technical matters will generally not be considered once meaningful gameplay has begun unless there is clear evidence of a major setup error.

• Players are strongly encouraged to use a wired/LAN internet connection for the best competitive experience.

8. Disconnections

• If a disconnect occurs before meaningful gameplay begins, the match must be restarted.

• If a disconnect occurs during live gameplay:

o Gamersrival.com may require the match to be replayed, resumed where reasonably possible, or ruled based on the available evidence and circumstances.

o Reconnection or rematch requirements will be determined by Gamersrival.com administrators.

• Players are expected to make reasonable efforts to resume or replay disconnected matches within 15 minutes.

• Repeated disconnections or conduct suggesting intentional interruption may result in forfeiture.

• Players are strongly encouraged to record gameplay footage in case dispute evidence is required.

9. Result Reporting & Verification

• Results must be reported immediately after completion.

• Results must be submitted through GamersRival.com.

• Once a player reports a result, the opposing player must respond or confirm within 5 minutes.

• Failure to respond within this period may result in the reported result being automatically accepted by the system.

• Players must retain screenshots or video evidence showing:

o Final result

o Player usernames or IDs where possible

o Any relevant disconnect or dispute evidence

• Both players or teams may be required to confirm the outcome of the match through GamersRival.com.

10. Cheating, Exploitation & Fair Play

Prohibited actions include:

• Cheats, hacks, scripts, macros, turbo controllers, cronus devices, zen devices, or unauthorized software

• Exploiting glitches or unintended mechanics

• Intentional disconnects to avoid a result

• Match manipulation, collusion, false reporting, or account sharing

• Any attempt to exploit the game or platform for an unfair competitive advantage

Violations may result in immediate disqualification and account suspension.

11. Tournament Rules

• Tournament brackets may be single elimination, double elimination, round robin, ladder format, best-of series, or another published format stated in the competition listing.

• Some players may receive a BYE where necessary.

• Tournament brackets may be generated randomly unless otherwise stated.

• Seeding may be used where applicable based on rankings, prior performance, or competition format.

• Higher-seeded or designated players may receive map striking, lobby host, or side selection advantages where stated in the competition listing.

• Gamersrival.com may adjust brackets where reasonably necessary due to no-shows, technical issues, or insufficient participation.

12. Mutual Competition Rules

• A mutual competition is a platform-hosted skill competition between eligible players under rules and conditions set by GamersRival.com.

• Any prize made available for the mutual competition is the fixed amount displayed by Gamersrival.com for that listing.

• Both players must accept the listed competition conditions before the match begins.

• A mutual competition may require the use of GamersRival website credits, as shown in the listing.

• Unless otherwise stated, the standard Brawlhalla rules in this document apply.

• If a player accepts a mutual competition and fails to appear within the grace period, that player may forfeit automatically.

• The successful player will receive the fixed competition prize stated in the listing, subject to result confirmation and review.

13. Prizes & Rewards

• Each competition will display the prize offered by Gamersrival.com for that event.

• The stated prize is determined and displayed by Gamersrival.com in the competition listing.

• Gamersrival.com reserves the right to adjust a displayed prize where required due to cancellation, insufficient participation, restructuring, technical error, or other legitimate operational reasons.

• Approved prizes are processed within 7 business days, subject to verification, fraud checks, review, and compliance procedures.

14. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

• Treat opponents and staff with respect

• Refrain from abusive language, harassment, threats, or intimidation

• Compete honestly and in good faith

• Follow all Gamersrival.com instructions and rulings

Violations may result in removal from the platform.

15. Dispute Resolution

• Disputes must be submitted within 24 hours of match completion.

• Disputes should include supporting evidence wherever possible.

• Gamersrival.com administrators have final authority on all rulings.

16. Rule Modifications

• Gamersrival.com reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.

• Updated rules will be published or communicated before enforcement where reasonably practicable.

17. Liability Disclaimer

Gamersrival.com is not responsible for technical issues, game errors, server problems, platform outages, or other unforeseen gameplay interruptions. Participation is at the player’s own risk.
